A political scientist, dr. Inge M. Ruigrok is Associate Researcher at CEDIS in Lisbon. She defended her Ph.D. dissertation on governance in Angola at the VU University in Amsterdam in January 2011. Besides her academic work on post-conflict politics, she was a journalist in Southern Africa in the late 1990s, and worked as a consultant in short-term assignments for the European Commission, UNDP Angola, Netherlands Institute for Southern Africa, and United Cities and Local Governments.
